Affordable Highlighter Fail

Affordable Highlighter Fail

After hearing great reviews on the Maybelline Master Strobing Stick I decided to buy it and try it out for myself. I was disappointed after trying it for the first time. I have tried it for a few months and I still don’t like it. I have tried applying it from the stick, with a Beauty Blender, with a brush, and with my finger and none of these methods have worked well. Every time I put it on my cheekbone the shimmer ends up everywhere on my face. I have the shade “Light Iridescent” and it is way too pink! I also don’t like it because it doesn’t last on my face. After I blend it out, the intensity dulls down and when I look in the mirror I don’t see a great highlight, just glitter everywhere on my cheek. I wanted to like the product and find a great drugstore highlighter, but this was not the one. I like that the product is creamy, but it still hasn’t worked after numerous times of trying it. This highlight cost $8.99, and there is also another shade called “Medium Nude Glow,” that is more golden than pink. This product has 0.24 oz or 6.8 g of product. In my opinion, I would not recommend this and would say to save your money and check out a different highlighter from the drugstore. Let me know what you guys think, do you like the product or have the same issues as I do? And leave below your favorite affordable highlighters!
